Well well well folks - what a summer it’s been! A few months spent at concerts outside, friends and family time, and of course - vibes! And ALL of us here atRavinia, tucked just north of the city proper and known for hosting some of the most, beautiful shows and live music all throughout Chicagoland - we’re so excited to welcome Alison Krauss & Union Station for a very special late-summer evening on Saturday, September 12th, 2026. And we’ve always been about the special moments here  - the ones that leave us shocked and begging for more, but also make us slow down in ways we couldn’t imagine: so you KNOW we’re gonna end the summer off with a bang the best way we know how. Extending their oh so special Arcadia Tour to 2026 - the Union Station crew has been hitting spots from coast to coast all year long and then some : and quite frankly, we’re just happy we got a show on the bill, something for us all to enjoy!

Alison Krauss & Union Station are in a league of their own - and if you’re not up on their game, well, allow us to school you real quick folks, Formed around Alison Krauss’ once-in-a-generation voice back in 1987 - the band has spent decades shaping what modern bluegrass, Americana, and roots music can sound like : and at this point they’ve become the blueprint quite frankly. Alison herself is one of the most awarded artists in American music history, and Union Station has long been recognized as a group that treats every note with care and intention. The band is known for pristine harmonies that sprinkle in chef’s kiss instrumental chemistry, and live performances that feel both intimate and massive at the same time. This isn’t about flash or spectacle — it’s about feeling. And THAT’s why we need to see them live here when they come in September folks. 

Over the years, Alison Krauss & Union Station have helped bring bluegrass and American roots music into the mainstream without ever compromising what makes it special. Their influence is deep and goes way beyond their own catalog. They’ve inspired generations of musicians across folk, country, and Americana. Live, the band is 100% locked in right now - I mean, they just extended their tour, they’re clearly still hungry and ready for more after a long summer of playing - and ready for us all to see them for 100% who they are.
