Kool and The Gang

Kool and The Gang is set to perform their array of classic tracks such as 'Celebration', 'Ladies Night' and 'Fresh' to name a few. The iconic soul group has continued to tour and perform around the globe in the last 56 years and are currently celebrating their 56th year in the music industry. The band's current lineup features the soulful horn section that originally helped launch the band to global fame. Kool and The Gang have sold over 70 million records in the U.S. alone, have received numerous awards including multiple Grammy Awards and seven American Music Awards. The group was also inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame in 2014.

Morris Day and The Time

As an extra added surprise for you evening of funk performance by Morris Day and The Time will be brought to Hunter Pavilion at Ravinia by three groups of some of the greatest funk of all time. Morris and the Time will play 'The Bird', 'Cool', 'It's About Time', 'Gigolos Get Lonely Too' and more. He and The Time are known to bring very smooth dance routines as well as tight and great music to wherever they go to perform. And for this show The Time and Morris Day will bring the Minneapolis sound of funk to Hunter Pavilion at Ravinia to join in the very rare funky concert of the year with Kool and The Gang and ConFunkShun performing at Highland Park, Illinois on Thursday, August 27th 2026. The Time was paired with Morris Day for far one of the greatest bands to come out of the 1980's. Before joining Morris Day in The Time, Prince and Morris Day went to the same high school in Minneapolis. In The Time while Morris Day was there for a time Prince was also in the bands that Morris Day was a part of. The two went on to be great friends for many years.

ConFunkShun

ConFunkShun - Performing their Silky Soul Mix of Funk, such as their hit songs "Ffun", "Shake and Dance With Me", and "Too Tight". This California-based band of male soul singers has toured the world for decades and are always bringing the funk to audiences of all ages and backgrounds. All 11 original members of ConFunkShun were from Vallejo, California. The group was created in 1969. ConFunkShun holds the record for 11 consecutive gold albums.
